Make Your Own Nerikomi Dish
Tutor: Abby Spiller
Date: Wednesday 16th April
Time: 6pm - 8:30pm
Join us for a creative and hands-on pottery workshop where you'll learn the technique of Nerikomi. This beautiful method involves layering coloured clays to create striking patterns and designs within your pottery.
In this session, we’ll focus on using black and white clay to craft intricate shapes and patterns. After a brief introduction, you will learn how to apply these designs to a slab of white clay, choosing your own patterns and creating your own unique masterpiece. Once you're happy with your design on both sides of the slab, you can shape it into a dish, bowl, ashtray, or even a jewellery holder using moulds.
This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to dive into a new pottery skill while having fun with hand-building. You'll have created your very own beautifully designed, functional piece of pottery to enjoy at home!
All tools, materials, and firing included. Your piece will be glazed and fired after the workshop and be ready to collect after 4 weeks. Perfect for beginners and pottery enthusiasts alike—come create something beautiful and functional with us!
