Improvers Throwing
What will I learn?
The course will focus on improving throwing technique, developing on skills you have learnt on your beginners course. We will start to think about other shapes, pulling handles and finishes.
What is included?
All materials and equipment are included. Kiln firings are included and you will have a choice of a range of coloured glazes to finish your pieces. You will be able to choose 5 pieces to be bisque fired in our electric kilns.
Who is this course for?
This course is for students who have done one of our beginners courses or have a small amount of wheel-throwing experience.
FAQs
What happens if I miss a session?
Don’t worry, your tutor will make sure to catch you up on the next class. We cannot offer any refunds for missed sessions during a course, but you are welcome to book onto an Open Session to finish your pieces and make up the time. Please note that these sessions do not include tuition.
How long does the kiln firing take?
Firing can take up to 4 weeks, we will contact you via email when your pieces are ready to collect.
Can I get a refund if I want to cancel my booking?
Let us know as soon as you can, if you want to cancel your booking. If you let us know more than 14 days ahead of the course start date, you will receive a full refund, minus a 10% admin fee. Within 14 days of the course starting, you will not be able to receive a refund, unless your place on the course is filled by someone else. If your place is filled by someone else, you will be offered another date for the workshop, or credit to use against another course.
